OUR MISSION

Manufactures in America have a hard time finding suppliers who will deliver competitively priced, high quality machined parts on time.

We are a machine shop and we make it easy from start to finish by investing in machining technology, people, and processes so that American manufactures can do what they do best and have confidence in their supply chain.

ABOUT US

Ketchie inc., a Concord, North Carolina full-service precision CNC machine shop, has continuously grown since its formation in 1947 from a textile job shop serving the local mills to a woman-owned, third-generation, ISO-certified corporation operating CNC equipment.

The company offers supply solutions to government and commercial customers in various industries, including Rail, Agriculture, Textile, Heavy Machinery, Industrial Equipment, and many specialized OEMs.

Ketchie makes it easy for American manufacturers to focus on what they do best and have confidence in their supply chain by investing in machining technology, people, and processes. Manufacturing low to mid-range volumes of machined parts, from a golf ball to a large suitcase in size, is what they are equipped to machine competitively.

The team at Ketchie is talented, loyal, and dedicated. We are committed to fulfilling our mission: As an organization following Jesus Christ, we seek to be the most respected custom manufacturer for having the highest quality people, products, and service.

OUR HERITAGE

We began as Ketchie-Houston, a partnership formed in 1947 by Edgar M Ketchie Sr., and Marvin Houston. Marvin Houston sold his ownership interest in the company in 1972. Edgar "Ed" M. Ketchie, Jr., joined his father in the company in 1976 and assumed the Presidency in 1980 when his father passed away. In 2004, the third generation entered the business; Robert "Bobby" Ketchie joined his father to carry on the Ketchie family tradition. With Ed's retirement in 2006, Bobby became the President and majority owner. Bobby's bride Courtney, joined Ketchie in 2008; adding her experience in finance and supply chain management to the business. Together, Bobby and Courtney operated and grew the company until Bobby passed away in March of 2014. Courtney is now the president and sole shareholder ensuring the continuation of Ketchie's legacy. In 2015, under Courtney's leadership, Ketchie, Inc. received national recognition as a Certified Woman Owned and Operated Business Enterprise and is positioned to grow with capital investments in new equipment and technology.
